FORT WAYNE, Ind. (June 6, 2018) – Lutheran Health Physicians has recently welcomed three new providers. They specialize in general surgery, trauma surgery and cardiology, respectively.
Mary Ann Meo, DO, FACS, is a general surgeon who serves patients requiring treatment for a variety of ailments affecting the body. As a general surgeon, Dr. Meo diagnoses and provides care for several conditions, but has a special interest in performing breast cancer surgeries.
Dr. Meo, who is board-certified, graduated from the New York College of Osteopathic Medicine in Old Westbury, New York, in 1986. She completed a residency in pediatric surgery at The Children’s Hospital at Harvard Medical School in Boston. She also completed a surgical residency at New York Medical College at the Cabrini Medical Center in New York City.
Dr. Meo joined Lutheran Health Physicians after working for several years as a general surgeon for Three Rivers Surgical Associates in Fort Wayne and Hudson Valley Medical Group in New York. She is a member of the American College of Surgeons and Fort Wayne Medical Society. She is located in Fort Wayne at 2510 E. Dupont Road, Suite 210.
Dasmyn Dismuke, PA, is a member of the Lutheran Health Physicians trauma surgery team. She treats patients with severe, life-threatening blunt force and penetrating injuries. Dismuke assists surgeons as they operate on patients who are critically injured and often suffering from multiple injuries to the colon, pancreas, spleen and/or stomach.
Dismuke graduated from Grand Valley State University in Allendale, Michigan, with a bachelor’s degree in clinical exercise science. She became a physician assistant when she earned her master’s degree in biomedical science from the University of Toledo.
Dismuke previously worked as a telemetry technician monitoring ECG rhythms and arrhythmias at Saint Joseph Mercy Hospital in Ann Arbor, Michigan. She also has experience as an exercise specialist in Grand Blanc, Michigan. Dismuke is a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants, the American Association of University Women, and the African Heritage Caucus of the American Academy of Physician Assistants.
Dismuke is located in Medical Office Building One, 7900 W. Jefferson Blvd., Suite 306, on the Lutheran Hospital campus.
Ann Moore, NP, joined Lutheran Health Physicians after working as a nurse practitioner in Baltimore treating patients with both acute and chronic health issues. As a cardiology nurse practitioner, Moore examines, diagnoses and treats patients with heart disorders that can be managed by medication and lifestyle changes.
