WASHINGTON, D.C. — Congressman Bob Latta (R-Bowling Green) helped welcome veterans to the National Mall as part of the Flag City Honor Flight’s trip to Washington. Honor Flights take veterans to see the memorials that were built in honor of their service at no cost to the veterans. The Flag City Honor Flight organization is based in Findlay and helps plan trips for veterans from around the region.
“It’s a special moment when veterans are able to come to Washington to see the memorials built in honor of their service and sacrifice,” said Latta. “I always cherish being able to shake the hands of Ohio’s veterans and thank them for all they did for their country. We can never fully repay the men and women who have served in our armed forces, but Honor Flights help show them that as a nation, we are extremely grateful.”
