Paulding County Commissioners Adopt Elder Abuse Awareness Day

The following proclamation was adopted by the Paulding County Commissioners this June to make all aware of the importance of protecting the rights of the elderly population in the county. Elder Abuse Awareness Day has been named to June 15.

PROCLAMATION

WHEREAS, the contributions of the older citizens of Paulding County Ohio strengthen our community, connect us to our past and help us meet the challenges of the present.

WHERAS, Paulding County, Ohio is committed to ensuring all its older citizens can age with dignity.

WHEREAS, Paulding County, Ohio is a community that prides itself on taking care of and protecting its older citizens.

NOW THEREFORE, we, The Board of Paulding County Commissioners, do hereby proclaim June 15, 2018 as Elder Abuse Awareness Day in Paulding County, Ohio. We call upon citizens of all ages to protect our older citizens by looking for signs of elder abuse, neglect and exploitation and reporting those to the proper authorities.
