51st LAMBERT DAY

The Ohio City Park Board is excited to announce its fifty-first Lambert Days celebration this weekend, honoring our Grand Marshall: Deb Strickler. There will be a community-wide garage sales happening in the Village and trough-out Liberty Township. The festival will start off with a steak dinner that starts on Friday at 4 and at 5 the Ohio City Legion Harvey Lewis Post 346 will have their annual flag raising ceremony. Kid’s games, inflatables and events will also start at 5. Mike Bouillon will provide music under the tent at 6, followed by the regional rock band: Colt & Crew and 8. There is also a Texas hold ‘em tournament that starts at 7, along with a Monte Carlo night at 8. The Lambert Days fire work display will start at 10:15 (Saturday night is the rain date). The Park Board has added an additional 20% toward the display this year and promises to be the biggest yet.

Saturday morning start off with a Men’s softball tournament at 8 at the front diamond and a breakfast at the concession stand along 118. The breakfast will be provided by the EPIC youth group of The Ohio City Community Church of God. Co-ed volleyball begins at 9. Kid’s games, inflatables and events will also start at 11, along with face paintings, petting zoo, horse drown cart rides, and other kid activities. A cornhole and 3on3 basketball tournaments start at 1 with registration at noon. The building will be having their hog roast dinner at 4, with music under the tent with “Jeff Unterbrink”. There will be BINGO inside the building at 5. The evening will close with regional country band: Cadillac Ranch.

The Lambert Days car show will be held Sunday at noon, with registration starting at 10 and judging at 1:30. The Kid’s games, inflatables and events will also start at noon. Ohio City’s 51st Lambert Days Parade starts at 3 and will end at Firemans Park. This has been the biggest parade in the county and promises to be bigger than last years. This year we have been contacted by a couple Lambert Automobile owners and are scheduled to appear in our parade.
