The Payne Chamber of Commerce & the Village of Payne will close Main Street Saturday to host the Rock The Block music festival. This event is sure to be a good time for all ages so mark your calendar and come out to have fun time in your local community! The event committee has been working to improve on last year’s festival success. The first activities begin Saturday at 3:00 p.m. with Kids Wacky Olympics hosted by the Payne Ministerial association on the grass lot next to the bank. The car & motorcycle cruise-in, dunk tank, chicken bingo, fire truck & ems displays, beer tent, food, will all start at 3pm. For info on the car & motorcycle cruise-in contact Billy 419-263-0251. The Rock Youth Center will open it’s doors to entertain the kids with games starting at 4pm-7pm. From 8pm-Midnight The band ERASTUS will return to perform a wide range of music including rock & roll, oldies, as well as some country & blues, even some of todays top 40 hits. Sunday morning at 11:00 a.m. there will also be a community church service under the tent on Main St.
