Community Memorial Hospital in Hicksville, Ohio will be celebrating the 65th year of serving the community on Wednesday, August 8th. A family centered community event will be held on the CMH campus located at 208 Columbus Street in Hicksville from 4 to 7:30 pm. CMH will be offering free food, including hot dogs, popcorn and snow cones, giveaways and door prizes. Kid’s games, face painting and a photo booth will be available for family fun. Two large inflatables will be set up for the kids to enjoy. You can visit with a therapy dog and 5 superheroes will be dropping in to visit and take photos.
Kids and adults love to see and tour emergency vehicles and the Parkview Helicopter will be available along with Hicksville police, fire and EMS vehicles to check out up close. The local police will also be conducting bicycle safety activities and CMH will have a drawing for free bicycles. The Hicksville Fire Department will be demonstrating the Smoke House, a fire safety trailer which helps teach children how to escape a house fire.
Highlights of the event will feature area health related agencies such as the Defiance County Health Department featuring car seat safety, Defiance County Drug Free Coalition setting up their drug paraphernalia room and American Heart Association demonstrating hands on CPR demos. CMH will have healthy food demonstrations for kids and adults and a Pretty Poison display to help kids identify harmful substances around the house.
Come help CMH celebrate our 65th Anniversary! All activities are free! Parking will be in the large employee parking lot and CMH will have golf carts to transport people if needed.
