On Saturday, September 29th, the Antwerp Conservation Club(ACC) held the Youth Introduction to Firearms. This was sponsored by the ACC and a grant from Ohio Division of Wildlife.
The participants were required to take a safety training class held in our clubhouse prior to going out to the different ranges. Each participant received a wristband after completing the training class.
The participants were then sent out to the age appropriate areas. Each area was set up for one on one instructions. We had two stations for our BB Gun range, two for our shotgun range and five stations for our 22 rifles.
Hamburgers, hot dogs and water were available for all. We appreciate all that came out to learn about the safe handling of firearms and those that took time out of their schedule to help put this event on. Shout out goes to Tippmann Arms for working with us to have their M4-22’s for the youth to use.
Our Fall Dinner is this Saturday starting at 4:00 p.m for carry out, 5:00 p.m. for dine in. We will be serving till 7:00 p.m. We will have fish, curly fries, bakers beans and dinner roll. Look forward to seeing you there.
