As a lifelong Republican, I have regularly supported outstanding candidates running for office.
But I cannot support Bob Latta.
When Latta voted to replace Obamacare, even though he knew the Congressional Budget Office forecast an increase of 25% for individual purchasers, including agriculture and small business, I wondered why would he do that to the people?
When he failed to stand up and voice opposition to the tariffs that take $2.5 billion from the pockets of our American farmers, I was angry. Why would he do that to the farmers? Recently we took the first truckloads of soybeans and as each truck rolled out of that field to the Andersons or Mid-Wood, I couldn’t help but think it was worth $2,000 more in March than it is today, thanks to Bob Latta and his support of the tariffs.
Bob Latta supports raiding Social Security and Medicare funds under the scam of supporting the balanced budget amendment. Bob Latta isn’t concerned for all those people who rely on Social Security or Medicare.
He has failed to speak up on the issue of safety in our schools just, so he won’t offend the NRA or lose their campaign donations.
He goes out of his way NOT to let anyone know where or when he might be appearing. Is he that ashamed of his record? Does he really feel that the taxpayers who help pay his salary don’t deserve the opportunity to be heard? Does Bob Latta do anything until he is told by the Republican party OR his big money donors how to vote? The answer is obvious.
“SILENT” Bob Latta has failed to denounce the hatred toward people of color, immigrants, and our free American press, which the President has inflamed across our great country. He failed to speak out as the President continues to praise Vladimir Putin, a tyrant who leads the Russian cyber war on our democracy, threatening to interfere with our elections again
But the truth is, Bob Latta hides from the people of our district. How can he call himself a United States Congressman?
It is time to drain the swamp. We must replace “Silent” Bob Latta with a representative who will work for the people. Someone who will speak up for us, someone we can meet and speak to in person.
That someone is Mike Galbraith.
I urge all voters of the district to bring an end to 10 years of lackluster governance. We deserve more than a name. We deserve someone who will represent us instead of the big money. In the race for United States Congressman we deserve a man like Michael Galbraith.
