Blessings in a Bag is a supplemental food program for students of Paulding Elementary. This program, developed and implemented by Kelsie Manz, began as an FCCLA project under the supervision of Mrs. Rose Krietemeyer, during the 2012-2013 school year. During Kelsie’s Senior year, she passed the program on to the Paulding High School National Honor Society. Since this time, Paulding NHS members have been packing bags for anyone in Paulding Elementary that qualifies for Free or Reduced Lunches. There are one third of Paulding students who are on free or reduced lunches. These bags are taken home over the weekend to provide some extra food for the student. This program has been very successful due to the vision of Miss Manz and the supervision of Mrs. Krietemeyer. Currently the program serves around 75 students. With the increase in food prices, we are in need of community support to replenish our funds so that we can continue this very worthwhile food program. The Blessings in a Bag program has truly blessed the lives of many families throughout our community. We would like to take this time to thank you for your financial support. If you would like to support this program, please send checks made out to Paulding High School Blessings in a Bag to Paulding High School, 405 N. Water St., Paulding, OH 45879. You can send your financial support c/o Mrs. Melissa Harder or Mrs. Malinda Schmidt, NHS advisers.
