Keith West of the Antwerp VFW Post invited the West Bend News to witness the $500 donation to Paulding County Sheriff’s Office Canine fund. The fund transfer took place at the Antwerp Local School with Deputies Gary Deitrick and Caleb Miller present with their canines to receive the payments.
The canines in Paulding County are used to detect drugs, paraphernalia or for finding people who may be lost or on the run. Deputy Caleb Miller and K-9 Cooper are stationed at the Antwerp Local School. The Sheriff’s office is very much appreciative of this donation and any others they receive for helping with the canines.
