DEFIANCE – The Antwerp Lady Archers advanced to the district semifinals with a sweep of North Central Thursday night at Ayersville High School.
The blue and white nipped the Eagles 25-23 in the opening set of the match before rolling to a 25-12 victory in game two. Antwerp then completed the three-game sweep by defeating North Central 25-21 to punch their ticket to the district semifinals.
Chloe Franklin paced the Lady Archers with 27 assists, two aces and three kills while Karsyn Brumett chipped in seven digs and Madison Boesch added five.
Alyssa Fuller added eight digs, two aces and seven kills with Kaitlyn Hamman recording 18 kills, eight digs and an ace.
Kendall Billman posted six digs for Antwerp and Lydia Brewer had two. Heather Oberlin and Astianna Coppes had four and three slams, respectively, for the Lady Archers.
