Antwerp Chamber’s Spotlight on Business

Our spotlight on business this month is Strong Tower Fitness and the business owner, Reta Ptak. Reta has a degree in fitness and nutrition and is an Aerobic & Fitness Association of America certified fitness instructor and Nutritionist. She is also a personal trainer and has been helping people reach their nutritional and fitness goals for the last 19 years.  Helping others and lifting them up is what motivated Reta to start her business, Strong Tower Fitness.

Reta teaches over 25 classes, her most popular ones being Zumba, Refit, Buti Yoga, and Cardio Drumming.  After a recent trip to California, Reta became interested in using surfing as a new fitness program here in the Midwest.  Using a Surfset Fitness Surfboard she has been able to introduce a new, exciting and fun fitness program to her wide variety of classes.  She loves to motivate people. With her upbeat personality she guarantees that all of her classes are fun. Classes can also be modified for those who are just beginning their fitness journey.

What keeps her patrons coming back is the fun they have and the results they are able to obtain through her programs!  Participants come from Antwerp, Defiance, Paulding, Findlay and Hicksville.   She is most proud of her students and their achievements.

When you walk into her gym you are greeted with her infectious smile, a warm welcome and also a promise of a NO judgement zone.  What makes her group most unique is the fact that everyone has fun. No one is left untouched by her enthusiasm. It is not about getting every step every time but just about moving, having fun, and working together toward similar goals. She warns you to come to a class ready to have a BLAST while getting a GREAT workout along with encouragement and support, not only from Reta herself but also from the others in the class.

Strong Tower Fitness is located on Archer Drive in the “old gym”. Look for her sign on the front of the gym.  Inside you will find a nice work out area complete with a large rubber mat which will save wear and tear on your knees. Classes are held Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, 9:00 am and Monday through Thursday at 6:30 pm.  A 4-week class session that includes 2 classes a week is $45; an unlimited number of classes in a 4-week session, is about $55-$65 or you can walk into a class and try it out for just $6.  Ask Reta how to become a VIP member to take advantage of specials and discounts. You can find a calendar of her classes on the Strong Tower Fitness Facebook page. You can find Reta on Facebook, Twitter, email at retaptak@gmail.com or call/text her at 419-487-2590.

During the 3rd week of October in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness, Strong Tower Fitness had a silent auction before, during and after classes. All proceeds went to the Paulding County Relay for Life.
