Jack Lee Strubing, 73, died Tuesday, November 6, 2018 at Majestic Care Center of New Haven, New Haven, Indiana.
Born on August 3, 1945 in Hicksville, Jack was the son of the late Derrill and Adele (Jackson) Strubing.
Jack was a 1964 graduate of Hicksville High School.
On December 29, 1984, he was united in marriage to Joyce Shepherd and she survives.
Jack served his country in the United States Marines from 1964 to 1966 during the Vietnam War.
He was employed by Blue Flame Gas Company.
Jack was a member and Past Commander of the American Legion Post #223, Hicksville Eagles Aerie #2556 and the Disabled American Veterans.
Jack is also survived by his son, JD (Laura) Strubing; grandson, Daniel; stepson, Jason (Danielle) Chehi; step granddaughter, O’Dessa Ankney, step great granddaughter, Huxley Ankney; brother, Lynn (Sue) Strubing; nephews, Troy (Kori) Strubing and Bert Strubing.
He was preceded in death by his nephew, Don Strubing and a stepson, Christopher Chehi.
Funeral services for Jack will be Saturday, November 17th, 2018 at 11:00 at Smith & Brown Funeral Home, Hicksville. Visitation will be Friday, November 16 from 3:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
Burial will be in Forest Home Cemetery, Hicksville.
