The Woodlan FFA Chapter was represented by 12 chapter members at the recent 91st National FFA Convention & Expo held at the Indianapolis Convention Center and at the Bankers Life Fieldhouse located in downtown Indianapolis.
At the FFA National Convention, members visited the Career Exhibition Hall to gain knowledge of new innovations and insights in agricultural technologies and practices, attended student workshops including “Food For The Force,” which presented agricultural careers in the Army, and the workshop, “When I Grow Up I Wanna Be A ?” , about different agricultural career paths to help students decide a future career in the area of Agriculture.
Members also attended several National FFA Convention business sessions conducted by the National FFA Officer Team, listened to world renowned inspirational speakers, attended an amusing hypnotist show, and was in attendance at the Garth Brooks concert. The Woodlan FFA Chapter was extremely involved with taking in as much as possible of all aspects of the 5 day National Convention.
The National FFA Convention & Expo is an opportunity for all chapters to participate in FFA events on the national level with chapters from all 50 states and U.S. territories. This year’s attendance record was set at 69,994 FFA members and guest shattering last year’s attendance record of 67,500. The National FFA Convention is the 3 largest convention held in the state of Indiana and downtown Indianapolis.
