Van Wert High School senior Austin Clay recently signed his letter of intent to continue his academic and athletic career with Central Michigan University in Mount Pleasant, Michigan. Surrounded by his family and former coaches, Austin committed to the Chippewa Track & Field program. Austin received several honors and awards during his high school career including Shot Put School Record Holder at 56’ 11.75”, 2018 Shot Put State Qualifier, 2017 Discus State Qualifier and a two-time WBL Champion. Austin was also a member of the football team while at Van Wert High School.
