Lima – Ohio State Highway Patrol Trooper Brandon P. Schreiber has been selected 2018 Trooper of the Year at the Lima Post.
The selection of Trooper Schreiber, 23, is in recognition of outstanding service during 2018 at the Lima Post. Fellow officers stationed at the Lima Post chose Trooper Schreiber based on leadership abilities, professional ethics, courteous treatment of others, enthusiastic work attitude, and cooperation with supervisors, peers, and the public.
Trooper Schreiber is now in contention for the District and State Trooper of the Year Award to be announced at a later date.
Trooper Schreiber joined the Highway Patrol in 2016 and has served at the Lima Post throughout his career. Trooper Schreiber is originally from Wapakoneta and is a graduate of Wapakoneta High School. Other Highway Patrol awards received in the past include: the ACE award for proficiency in auto larceny prevention and the Division’s Criminal Patrol award, both in 2018.
