ANTWERP – Amanda Addington score a dozen points and the Ayersville Pilots rallied from an early fourth quarter deficit for a 43-37 victory over Antwerp Friday night in Green Meadows Conference basketball action.
The Lady Pilots improve to 6-8 overall and 2-1 in the conference with the victory while Antwerp drops 3- in all games and 0-3 in the league.
Felicity Eichler aided the Pilots cause with nine points. Taylor Addington and Ashlee Tressler each posted seven markers for the Pilots while Kryshel Dales and Alexis Samlow had four apiece.
Ayersville led 10-8 at the end of one quarter before Antwerp answered and took a 22-20 halftime advantage. The Lady Archers still led 33-31 at the end of three periods but the Pilots rallied by outscoring the Archers 12-4 in the final eight minutes of action.
Heather Oberlin topped the blue and white with 16 points and Karsyn Brumett posted nine markers.
Other scorers for the Lady Archers were Tierra Gomez (five), Alyvia Devore (three), Astianna Coppes (two) and Chelsea Johanns (two).
Antwerp hits the court again on Thursday when it welcomes in Hicksville (7-7, 1-2 GMC) before traveling to Crestview in a non-league action.
Ayersville hosts Edgerton (6-7 overall, 1-2 GMC) on Thursday before the Pilots travel to Fort Jennings on Tuesday.
