Mercy Health – Defiance Clinic is pleased to welcome Dr. Islam Sidky to its obstetrics/gynecology department. Dr. Sidky provides care for women of all ages, from well-woman visits to treatment of female health issues.
Dr. Sidky earned his medical degree from the University School of Medicine. He completed a residency in family practice at the South Cairo Medical Center and a residency in obstetrics and gynecology at Union Memorial Hospital. Dr. Sidky is board certified in obstetrics and gynecology and is a fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists and the American Society of Reproductive Medicine.

Patients now have more choice when it comes to everything from preventative care visits to advanced procedures, all right here in Defiance,” said Sonya Selhorst, chief operating officer and chief nursing officer at Mercy Health Defiance.
Dr. Sidky joins Donna Augustine, Certified Nurse Midwife, and Karla McDonel, Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner – Board Certified, in the Defiance office. The team offers care for women at various stages of life, including prenatal and maternal care, infertility treatment, minimally-invasive surgery and advanced laparoscopic procedures.
