PAULDING – Haylee Dominique limited visiting Continental to a pair of hits and lead the Paulding Lady Panthers to a 4-0 win in the high school softball season opener for both schools.
Dominique struck out a dozen Pirate hitters in recording the victory and didn’t allow a walk.
Paulding struck first with a pair of runs in the second inning to go on top 2-0 but the maroon and white wasn’t done.
The Lady Panthers picked up two more in the bottom of the sixth to wrap up a 4-0 victory.
Leigha Egnor and Kaela Lucas each had two singles for the maroon and white while Jessica Stauffer posted a double for Continental.
Tygre Troyer suffered the loss for Continental, giving up seven hits and seven walks with one strikeout in six innings of work.
