It was Tuesday, May 5 when the weather was forecast to be cloudy and rainy, but different than the opinion of the meteorologist, the weather decided to be nice! The game between the Antwerp Archers and the Wayne Trace Raiders commenced at 4:30 p.m. Both teams arrived early to practice and get into their groove before the big matchup at the Tin Caps stadium in Fort Wayne.
Parkview Field was the host site for the event that brought fans out of state and into the big city of Fort Wayne! The ball park opened up 10 years ago last month and in recent years has decided to bring high school teams in to let the young men play on a pro field. It also brings promotion to Parkview for their sports trainers they provide to the schools.
The game started soft with both teams staying at zero for the first two innings. It was in the third inning when Antwerp took advantage of a couple errors made by the Raiders, picking up 5 runs. The Archers sealed the game when they added another run in the fifth inning. The Raiders struggled in the match and was not able to grab any runs for their side of the score board. The final score ended up 6-0 in favor of Antwerp.

As of May 13, Antwerp leads the Green Meadows Conference with a 6-0 record, followed closely by Tinora at 5-0. Overall Antwerp has 14-5 record and Wayne Trace is 8-9 and 4-3 in the conference.
