Antwerp VFW Post 5087 presented 4 scholarship grants to Antwerp High School students at the May 14 awards night. The academic scholarships were selected by the the committee at the Antwerp post and then presented to the 4 qualifying seniors. The selected few included Keaton Altimus, Jake Ryan, Austin Chirgwin, and Brett Fulk. All of these young men have been in sports and have worked hard over the past 4 years and the committee selected them based upon their applications.
Antwerp resident and VFW member presenting the $500 scholarships was Keith West. Altogether, the Antwerp VFW Post 5087 has given $15000 in the last seven years since starting the grant scholarships.
