The Paulding County Park District and Friends of the Paulding Park District are collecting caps and lids for the Caps for Benches Program and we have partnered with Ann’s Bright Beginnings Preschool and the Girl Scout Troop # 20521. Friends of the Paulding Park District is sponsoring a contest to see which group collects the most with a pizza party going to the winner-yay! The caps and lids with recycling numbers 2, 4 and 5 once collected, will be going to a good cause, to help our Young Friends of the Paulding Park District obtain youth picnic tables and adult benches for Paulding county parks. Check out our Facebook page at: Friends of the Paulding Park District for the complete list of acceptable items. For those wishing to help our Young Friends, donations can be dropped off at the Paulding Chamber of Commerce office 103 E. Perry Street, during normal business hours. For those needing donations picked up, arrangements can be made through our Facebook page.
Our Young Friends have a goal of 500 pounds however, the more caps and lids they collect, the more items they can obtain for our county parks.
F.O.P.P.D would like to give a shout out to: Julie Mason McGough and her friends, Walter Lang, Sally Gross and family, Corner Market Carryout, Lori Manon and family, Judy Copsey the late Helen Maddock, Becky Suvar, JPHS and Stiebeling Farms and of course our Young Friends for the items collected thus far.
