The Woodburn Christian Children’s Home celebrated the Annual Golf Outing on Saturday, September 14. The early morning event took place at the Pond-A-River Golf Course with an 8:30 prayer time and start. Each year the event raises thousands of dollars in keeping with the tradition of not taking taxpayer dollars for day to day operations.
There were 31 teams that participated from all over Indiana, Ohio, and Michigan, making this an incredible fundraiser for the facility that operates just a mile from golf course.
Young people from all over are housed and fed, both spiritually and physically, at the children’s home. No one is turned away and the work of taking care of these kids is truly a mission from God.
The next fundraiser event is the annual Auction. The Auction has moved this year to Woodlan High School and takes place Saturday, October 19 starting at 4 pm. The live auction kicks off at 5:00 pm. Keep reading for more information!!
