WOODBURN CITY HALL CLOSES

To the Citizens of Woodburn:

In an effort to protect the health and general wellbeing of our residents, in particular our elderly population, the City of Woodburn will be closing City Hall to the public from Tuesday, March 17th up to and including Monday, April 20th. Our previously scheduled Board of Works and Public Safety meeting as well as the Council Meeting to occur on April 6th will also be cancelled. Both boards will meet again on April 20th to conduct their previously scheduled meetings that are open to the public.

During this time, updated information may be conveyed by City leadership to the community. This information will be primarily conveyed through the City’s website and the Mayor’s Facebook page.

You are encouraged to pay your bill in person by using the dropbox on the east side of the building (facing Woodburn Lutheran School), online through the City’s website, www.cityofwoodburn.org, or by standard mail, at P.O. Box 665.

Any questions that you may have will be received during the normal business hours of Monday through Friday from 7am – 4pm. Please note that from 12-1pm the office is officially considered closed. You can reach City Hall by phone at 260-632-5318. If your call is not answered immediately, please leave a message and your call will be returned as soon as is reasonable.

In addition to calling into City Hall, you can utilize the ‘contact us’ form on the website. This is monitored daily and responses will be made as soon as is reasonable. You can also comment on the Mayor’s Facebook page. For any water or sewer emergency you should call into City Hall for assistance.

If you need to reach the Woodburn Police Department, call Allen County Dispatch to page an officer for a non-emergency situation at 260-449-3000. Please note that for any medical emergency you should call 911 immediately.

There may be special circumstances allowing an individual access to City Hall. Each case will be considered separately. Appointments beforehand are encouraged, as this will confirm availability of City staff and preparations will be made accordingly.

We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause our residents during this time. Decisive action seems to be a prudent measure to preserve the overall health of our community. Be healthy; be well.
