Adison Hindenlang is a member of the Antwerp High School senior class and is really hoping to get the word out to as many people as possible about a parade for the senior class of 2020. Since having a traditional graduation is not happening this year because of COVID-19, the senior class of 2020 has planned a senior parade through Antwerp to celebrate their graduation from high school. The police and fire departments and the EMS are all involved! The parade will take place on May 24th at 1:00 p.m.
The seniors will drive through downtown Antwerp in their cars and dressed in their caps and gowns. The parade will begin at the Riverside Church just north of town and follow Main Street to East Canal Street before ending at the field house. At the field house, seniors will gather around and release balloons into the air and take pictures. Parents and family are more than welcome to come to the field house after the parade to join in this part of the celebration as well.
The seniors are hoping that family and friends of the graduating seniors who wish to participate in the parade will line Main Street and Canal Street. All social distancing standards will be observed during this time by all. This class has worked extremely hard during these past 13-14 years of school and would love to see everyone supporting them for this momentous occasion. Hope to see everyone there.
