Raelyn Haynes, an Oakwood first grader is shown with members of her family as they drove through the horseshoe for the end of the year “Send Off”. The teachers were so excited to see their students and many of the students had tears as they told their teachers good bye for the summer.
Oakwood Elementary held a special Send Off for their students on Thursday, May 21st from 1:00 to 6:00 pm. It was a very emotional afternoon as students and their family members drove through the horseshoe drive and said good bye to their teachers. Students were presented with their grade cards and special awards earned for the school year. At the end of the drive, students were given a Sno-cone compliments of the Oakwood PTO.
