On July 14th, it was reported that a vehicle was parked across from the Genesis House faced in the wrong direction. The officer located the driver, explained to him that he was unable to park in that direction and was told to move it.
On July 12th, a person reported they were being harassed by their daughter via text message, both the complainant and the suspect live outside village limits. They were turned in to the Paulding Sheriffs department.
On July 12th, around 4:00 a.m. it was reported that a resident had walked away from the Antwerp Manor and they were unable to locate the individual. The officer responded and as he searched, he was notified that the resident had returned.
On July 11th, a resident reported that fireworks were going off in town disturbing her sleep. It was determined that the fireworks were outside the village.
On July 11th, while officers were checking doors, they found the weight room door of the Antwerp Local School unlocked. The officer secured the building and talked to a school employee.
On July 11th, a resident reported that they were receiving unwanted calls from a family member, the case was investigated and the family member was told to stop calling.
On July 10th, an officer was called to the Antwerp ball diamonds where a .40 caliber hand gun had been found in the restroom. The officer responded, retrieved the gun, located the owner and found that the gun was reported stolen in Henry County.
On July 9th, officers were called to a residence on Harrmann Rd. in reference to one of the residents being drunk and disorderly. Prior to the officer arriving, the resident received a ride and left town.
On July 7th, at 7:55 a.m. a motor vehicle accident occurred on South Main St. There were no injuries, just vehicle damage.
On July 8th, a vehicle was stopped for a speed violation. It was determined that the registration of the vehicle was suspended. The driver was cited and the vehicle was towed.
On July 7th, at 10:21 p.m. a resident at North Garden Apt. reported loud music. The officer responded and spoke with the resident about playing loud music.
On July 7th, a resident of Woodcox St. reported that their mailbox had been damaged, the case is under investigation.
On July 6th, while doing residential security checks, found a resident’s door unlocked and unsecured. The officer checked the residence and contacted the owner.
On July 6th, a resident reported that they had received in change from a local business a 1936 buffalo nickel and a mercury dime. The officer notified other agencies including the Paulding Sheriff’s office. At this time, no coin thefts have been reported.
On July 5th, a resident reported two juveniles were riding a scooter and a bicycle in the roadway. The officer located the individuals and explained the dangers of riding in the middle of the roadway.
On July 5th, a resident of the Park Ave. Villas reported he was receiving unwanted threatening text messages from a person in Antwerp. The case was investigated.
On July 4th, a resident of the Park Ave. Villas reported that they had found bullet shell casings by a fellow resident’s vehicle. The officer responded and located the shell casings of 30 carbine ammunition. He obtained the casings and brought them to the police department.
