It’s been months (March) now since you have been able to peruse the books and media of the Paulding County Carnegie Libraries and many have missed it desperately. Well, the day has finally arrived where the books that have missed their readers will now finally be seen again. They have been lonely and are ready for your attention after being left out of sight and out of mind for over 100 days.
The Paulding County Carnegie Library locations will be open for limited browsing and computer use starting Monday, August 24, 2020. it is asked that customers limit their visits to 45 minutes or less. Library and Branch locations will offer the same hours they had prior to our COVID shutdown and curbside service will continue. We do ask that you allow the first hour of each day for service to Seniors and our vulnerable populations.
Things at your library will look a little different to ensure the safety of all customers and staff. All staff and customers over the age of two are required to wear masks. The mask mandate and other precautions will be subject to change according to the Center for Disease Control and library guidelines. If you prefer not to wear a mask or have a medical exemption, consider allowing us to serve you with online resources, curbside service or a phone call. Following COVID guidelines, we will limit the number of people in our buildings and the time a person is in the library to provide safe social distancing.
With the exception of Hotspots, all materials should be returned to the library outside dropbox. Hotspots need to be returned to a library staff member during open hours. Materials will continue to be quarantined for 96 hours prior to being checked in. Patrons will not be charged an overdue fee for those days and will still be able to access our online resources during that time.
WiFi continues to be available at all locations. If you’ve been enjoying Curbside Pickup and prepared Book Bundles, they are all still available!
