Black Swamp Community Cruise Winner Drawn

Gena Sheets won the Black Swamp Community Cruise Contest and is presented by Guy Dasher.
The Black Swamp Community Cruise took place on September 19 with the winner announced today (September 20). This was a fun event that people absolutely loved. The expectations this year for any event has been mixed due to COVID. This event may not have been as high as other established events, but with excellent weather, it was a tremendous turnout! Hopefully, you did not miss this fair food phenomena! Take a look at the video posted on West Bend News & Print Facebook page and on YouTube as we fly around Paulding County (Give us a thumbs up if you like this video and hit subscribe!)!
The expectations of the organizations serving food were exceeded and that is good news! The Grover Hill Lions Club ran out of ice cream several times. It was reported that they ended up making 90 gallons of ice cream! The Antwerp Conservation Club had to get more potatoes because they ran out. The Paulding Presbyterian Church within 2 hours of opening sold out of their secret recipe chili and had to make more! The Boy Scouts in Antwerp had to make multiple runs for lemons for their lemonade shake ups to quench the thirst of all the visitors!
The Flat Rock Creek Fall Festival had to be cancelled for 2020 due to COVID and this was a new event procured just for this year to fill the void left by all the canceled calendar events.
The Grand Prize winner of the $2500 was Gena Sheets. The winner of the grill was Ron Crone.
A big shout out to all who volunteered, donated and bought food to make this a great day for people to explore Paulding County!
