A second train/semi-truck accident occurred at the same location in less than 24 hours in Edgerton, IN. The train and truck ended up on the Ohio side of the State Line road, where the point of impact took place around 9:00 am this morning (October 21). The truck may have detoured due to the fiery accident that took place on US 24 near Antwerp, Ohio in the early hours of the morning.
The semi truck was hit in the center of the trailer, splitting it in half. The semi-truck was pushed into the crossing guard and broke the guard off at the base, though power is still connected, as per the video.
The previous truck incident took place about 2:00 p.m. yesterday at the exact same intersection. It does not appear that anyone was injured in either of the accidents.
Please avoid the area while crews clean up the accident.
