These have been, and continue to be, very challenging, difficult, unprecedented times for everyone, and certainly for our school district staff! In a community effort to recognize and show support for our Paulding County district staff members through this Pandemic, appreciation bags were recently delivered to all three school districts within Paulding County, and to Divine Mercy Catholic School in Payne, as well. The 550 appreciation bags contained several “goodies” such as, coupons to area businesses, hand sanitizers, granola bars, chap stick, note pads, information on mindfulness and stress relief items, etc. This was a collaborative effort spearheaded by Tri-County ADAMHS Board, United Way of Paulding County, and the Parent Mentor Program through Western Buckeye, ESC. “I want to personally thank you for your partnership in this project.  The bags turned out beautifully thanks to the awesome items and supporters that Lora and Cathy recruited.  It was a lot of work but the end result was so good.  I know the educators really appreciated all of our efforts.” Stated Alicia S Bruce, the Program Director at Tri County ADAMHS Board of Van Wert-Mercer-Paulding Counties who helped bring the idea to life. A special thanks to the generosity of the many community partners who showed their support by providing contributions for the appreciation bags: Antwerp Ministerial Association, Dairy Queen, EATON Corp., Edgerton Wesleyan Church, Grover Hill Churches, Parent Mentor Program-Western Buckeye, ESC, Paulding County Area Foundation, Paulding County Hospital, Payne Church of the Nazarene, Puckerbrush Brew House, Paulding Putnam Electric Corporation, and United Way of Paulding County.

“We pray our teachers, staff, and students have a safe and successful year.” –Lora Lyons, United Way of Paulding County.
