On January 14 a resident reported noticing that it looked like something had been drug through their yard. The officer went to the residence and found that a groove had been made across the persons yard. The neighbor’s dog had gotten loose and had made grooves in the yard from the chain.
On January 14 it was reported than an individual with an orange vest and with a light on top of his car led a funeral procession to the intersection of Main and River Sts, where he got out and attempted to direct traffic. The Antwerp Police investigated and located the individual and explained to the person that he could not do what he did.
On January 14 a resident reported that a man was going door to door soliciting. The officer located the individual and explained to him that there is an ordinance that requires all door to door sales people must have a permit issued by the village. He left without incident
On January 17 it was reported that a white boxer was running loose around the village. A resident was able to assist in capturing the dog and the owner of the dog, who lives on East River St, was notified to pick up his dog.
On January 19 a resident reported seeing three individuals entering a residence at 107 East River St. The house is abandoned. Officers arrived and found three individuals leaving the residence in their vehicle. Officers approached the vehicle and the individuals stated they were moving into the house. The officer told the people that the building has been condemned and is not in a condition to be lived in. The officer found the driver was driving with a suspended license. The owner of the vehicle was cited for wrongful entrustment. Charges were filed for having marijuana and drug paraphernalia.
On January 20 while patrolling, an officer noticed a water main break and reported it to the Village Administrator.
On January 21st a domestic dispute was reported at the Park Avenue Villas. The officer arrived and found that nothing physical had occurred and the officer spoke to the people about their loud argument.
On January 22 the Antwerp Police reported a motor vehicle accident on West River Street. One of the drivers received a citation after the accident was investigated.
On January 25 the owner of the laundromat reported an adult with two juveniles entered the laundromat the day before on Sunday and allowed their dogs urinate and defecate inside the building on the floor, and did not clean up the mess. The case is under investigation.
