OAKWOOD STUDENTS USE WORDS TO DESCRIBE SENSES

Recently, students in Mrs. Horstman’s and Ms Pam’s sixth grade reading class read a poem about descriptive words which are described as colorful as “confetti”. They learned how imagery is the use of words and details to help readers see, hear, taste, smell and feel things better. Descriptive words can make reading and writing more exciting. just like frosting that makes crackers taste better. Shown here are Domanick Bullinger and Grady Manson adding frosting and confetti sprinkles to their crackers.
