3/9 A resident called in reference to child custody questions. Officer was able to answer the questions.
3/9 A vehicle was stopped on N. Main Street for traveling 55mph in a 35mph zone. The juvenile driver was sited into juvenile court
3/8 An officer was asked to assist the Ohio State Highway Patrol for a disabled semi that was blocking traffic near the off ramp on US 24.
3/7 Antwerp Police Department was contacted by Dekalb County Sheriff Office in reference to information they received of a juvenile possibly attempting suicide. It was determined that the incident was occurring out in the county, and was turned over to sheriff department.
3/6 A wallet was found by a resident near the Sunoco station. The officer was able to locate the owner from items in the wallet and the owner came and retrieved it.
3/6 An officer was called to Park Avenue Villa in reference to a domestic issue. When the officer arrived, the alleged victim had already left. When the officer contacted the alleged victim she refused to cooperate.
3/5 An officer was called to a residence in the village in reference to an argument between a couple. When the officer arrived it was determine nothing physical had occurred and officer stood by while one of the party’s gathered their belongings and left.
3/5 A resident reported that they had received a phone call from a number they did recognize. The call left a message stating that if he did not call them there would be a warrant issued for his arrest. The complaintant did not call anyone back, officer took the information and provided the resident with a packet of information in reference to scams a fraud.
3/3 A resident of Maple Street called and requested packet of information on scams and fraud.
3/2 A resident called and asked for an officer to come to her location and make sure there was no one in her garage. An officer responded and found the garage secured and pad locked.
3/1 Antwerp Police Department was notified of a complaint that was received by Paulding County Sheriff Department in reference to child neglect or endangerment. The case was investigated and it was determined there was no child neglect or endangerment.
2/27 A resident requested an officer to unlock her vehicle. Officer responded and performed the unlock.
2/26 A warrant was received from the Defiance Police Department for a resident on Daggett Street. An officer responded to residence, arrested the individual and transported them to be turned over to Defiance.
2/24 Antwerp Police received a call in reference to a resident on Canal Street who had hit their medical alert button. Officer responded and it was determined that the button was pushed by accident and everything was alright.
2/24 The school resource officer called and requested a welfare check on students that had not reported to school. An officer went to the residence and found everything was alright.
February had a total of 97 calls with 24 citations into mayor court.
