It’s time to hit the green for some sunshine, fresh air and to help a great cause.
Habitat for Humanity of Paulding County is having its golf outing on June 5 at Auglaize Golf Club. Registration for the four-person scramble begins at 8 a.m. with a shotgun start at 9 a.m.
Proceeds from the event will benefit Habitat for Humanity, which builds safe, affordable housing for low-income families in the county. Habitat dedicated its 10th home in 2020, as well as worked on a critical repair project on another home. Habitat’s board currently is looking for a lot in Payne for its next build.
Registration for the golf outing is available for both individuals and teams. Registration includes cart, green fees, breakfast and lunch. Hole sponsorships also are available.
Checks for the outing can be made payable to: Habitat for Humanity of Paulding County, P.O. Box 328, Paulding 45879.
The outing will feature door prizes, 50/50 drawings and prizes for the top three teams. First place is $100; second, $75; and third, $50.
In addition to the prizes, there will be several specials. A mulligans card is available for $20 per team. The card will allow four mulligans during the event. Skins also are available for $20 per team. A string game will be available too. Ten inches of string will be available for $20. This will allow a player to move their pall during the game a maximum of 10 inches.
With everything that happened in 2020, this golf outing is a great opportunity to get outside and enjoy yourself while helping others in the community.
Individuals or teams interested in taking part in the golf outing should send their team name, a contact number, list of players, the name of their team captain and registration fees to Habitat prior to the event. Those interested in hole sponsorships, which will have the business name featured prominently, should send the company’s name, address, a contact person and number to Habitat as well.
