April Ellerbrock has held the position of administrator at First United Methodist Church Preschool in Van Wert for six years. Four years prior to being administrator, April was on staff as a preschool aide. After 11 years of dedicated service to the community, she has decided to officially step away from the position. The FUM Preschool Board and First Church wish to thank April for her leadership, guidance, and loyal service. April and her husband, Brian have been married for 23 years and have 2 sons – Dillon and Dalton. We wish April the best in her upcoming endeavors.
First United Methodist Church is pleased to announce Marilyn Agler as the new Preschool Administrator. Marilyn brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the pre-school. She was formerly the director of Calvary Preschool in Van Wert. Marilyn has been working alongside April to familiarize herself with the Preschool and their families. April is very pleased to turn this new adventure over to Marilyn and is excited to see what Marilyn and her staff have planned for the 2021-22 school year.

First United Methodist Church is located at 113 W Central Avenue, across from Fountain Park in downtown Van Wert. First Church offers two distinctive worship services: a casual service currently at 8:30 a.m. and a traditional worship at 10:00 a.m. on Sundays. This summer from May 30 – September 5th, there will be ONE BLENDED SERVICE ONLY at 9:30 a.m. Pastor Chris Farmer, the staff and the congregation of First Church warmly welcome you.
