Ten Paulding County high school track athletes wrapped up their seasons over the weekend in Columbus with several athletes placing at the state’s highest level of meets.
The red, white and blue 1600 relay team of sophomores Kiara Bahena, Gracie Shepherd and Sydnee Sinn along with junior Rachel Stoller wrapped up an outstanding season with a second-place finish in 4:02.97. Wayne Trace was nipped by West Liberty Salem, which finished in 4:00.33.
In addition for the red, white and blue, Sinn crossed the finish line in fourth place with a time of 58.17 seconds in the 400 dash while Brayson Parrish claimed a seventh-place finish in the 110 hurdles, completing the race in 15.83 seconds for Wayne Trace.
Antwerp junior Leslie Pollock finished in seventh place in the discus, finishing with a throw of 123-0 to get the Archers on the scoreboard.
The Lady Raider 3200 relay team of Bahena, Abby Moore, Stoller and Sinn finished in 17th place at the state meet with a time of 10:03.76.
Freshman Maddox Treece recorded the 14th best time in the 400 dash, recording a time of 52.26 seconds for Wayne Trace.
Panther junior Claire Schweller also concluded her season, placing tenth in the pole vault with a leap of 10-6.
