Flat Rock Lodge #580 in Payne recently concluded their first-ever Gun Raffle. Funds raised were used to benefit both the Paulding Area Support Society (PASS) and the Lodge. The Lodge usually has a Spaghetti Dinner in the fall to raise money for their charitable work, but the COVID issue forced cancellation of the event last year. This year’s dinner will be postponed until next year. The three raffle winners were drawn by Geoff Hyman, President of the Antwerp Exchange Bank in Payne, on July 6th. The P.A.S.S. organization was presented a check for $1700.00 for their share of the proceeds on July 27th by Jim Wilson, Master of the Lodge, and Ron Schmidt, Secretary of the Lodge. Accepting the check are members of P.A.S.S. Judy Fisher and Marcia Pressler. The Lodge intends to partner with ACE Hardware to have a non-gun raffle this fall to further benefit the P.A.S.S. organization.
