The Main Branch Adult section has collected a small bookcase of sad and lonely books, that just need to be read. Somehow, they have been ignored and lost in the sea of bestsellers. During the month of September, just check one out and write a review and you will be entered in a drawing for a great prize. The deadline for reviews will be September 30, 2021. Cookbook Club will be meeting on September 20th at 5:30 pm. This month the theme is Fall Food, bring in a prepared recipe and a printed copy of the recipe. Lots of good food, lively discussion and fun. On September 23 at 10:00 am, join Carla Morris of “The Frugal Hanger” for a demonstration on the nearly lost art of mending. Then at 1:00 pm on September 23, Carla will be back for a discussion on selling your stuff. Whether it’s on Instagram, Facebook Marketplace, eBay or even a garage sale, she will be sharing her best tips for turning “stuff” into “cash”. We are still collecting your stories for our Covid Chronicles! Please share your stories about 2020 till now and how the pandemic affected you and your life. These stories will be archived for future generations and are an important part of our history. It’s your chance to be an author. A complete description of this project is available at the library.
