The Harlan Days board would like to give their appreciation to all who attended the festival this summer. As the world and its news continues to spin, we thought it important to take time out and enjoy the fellowship of our neighbors. The weather was wonderful all three evenings. And while the Saturday morning parade was quite soggy, the children enjoyed themselves nonetheless. The festival attendance was a record breaker by all accounts and on August 26th the board presented Harlan Park with a $20,000 donation check.
The Harlan Days board would also like to thank all the area businesses who made financial contributions to the festival. We could not do this without the charity of all them. And thank you to the hundreds of volunteers, organizations, and churches who make it all happen. The children of this community will be better for the work you have done. And since this year went so well, we have decided to try it again next summer. Come celebrate our 75th anniversary in early August next year, it will be one heck of a good party, God willing and the creek don’t rise.
