Neither team scored in the first quarter but visiting Fairview scored once each in the second, third and fourth quarters to pull away from host Paulding for a 21-0 high school football victory Friday night at Keysor Field.
The Apaches garnered their first win of the season with the victory, improving to 1-3 overall and 1-0 in the Green Meadows Conference. Paulding dropped its first GMC contest in nearly fifty seasons after returning to the league this year and fell to 0-4 overall.
Brady Karzynow got the Apaches on the scoreboard in the second stanza, plunging three yards for a score. Keaton Singer added a four-yard touchdown run in the third quarter before a nine-yard scamper by Karzynow concluded the game’s scoring.
Karzynow ended the night running for 160 yards on a dozen attempts while throwing for 128 yards, completing 10 of 19 passes. Singer added 86 yards rushing for Fairview on 19 carries.
Dawson Lamb ran for 96 yards on 25 carries to top Paulding, which totaled 142 rushing yards as a team. Quarterback Jacob Fife was 8 of 20 passing for 96 yards for the Panthers with Brayden Sanders hauling in seven catches for 77 yards.
