The Paulding County Republican Central Committee met on Thursday October 7 to appoint a new County Commissioner at the Black Swamp Center. “Jerry Zielke, Chairman said we had eleven outstanding individuals who submitted resumes.
After much discussion the committee voted in open session and the majority winner was Michael L Weible who lives with his wife Karin in the Oakwood Ohio area. They have 4 adult children and 10 grandchildren. Mike is a graduate of Paulding High School and ITT Technical Institute Ft Wayne. Mike is currently an agricultural producer, farming with his family in the Oakwood area.
He currently serves as the Chairman of the Paulding County Farm Service Agency Board. He has served as an Auglaize Township Trustee for 6 years. He was formerly employed for a number of years as a Store Manager for a large retail store chain and has extensive planning, marketing, expense control and human resource experience.
Mike will be starting as commissioner in a few days as soon as all the necessary paperwork is completed and he is sworn in. We are very pleased to have Mike joining the Commissioner team to continue improving Paulding County into the future, Zielke said.”
