Habitat for Humanity of Paulding County is holding an open enrollment period for any county residents who are interested in applying for a Habitat built home. The enrollment period will be open from October 7 – November 7, 2021.
Habitat plans on building a 3 bedroom, 2 bath home, single family ranch homes in Paulding county in 2022. Our 2022 build will be in the Village of Paulding.
Habitat is not free housing. Habitat builds homes in partnership with families who are unable to secure a normal bank loan. Homeowners, along with other volunteers help build the home, keeping the cost of the home low. When the home is completed, the partner family will have a zero interest, low payment mortgage loan they must repay to Habitat.
The monthly mortgage payments the homeowner makes goes into a fund to help other families build their home.

How the Program Works: With the support of community partners, donors and volunteers, Habitat of Paulding County constructs new homes alongside Habitat Partner Homebuyers. Our homeownership program is designed to assist low income; fjratmti homebuyers achieve their dream of homeownership. Habitat homes are sold to partner homebuyers at no profit and financed with affordable loans. In addition to a down payment and monthly mortgage payments, homeowners invest Sweat Equity hours building their future Habitat home and the homes of other Habitat Homebuyers. Interested applicants must submit an application and meet program eligibility requirements.
