FLORIDA, OH: Former Paulding County resident, Ruth A. Whitman-Andrew, age 78, passed away on Tuesday, November 2, 2021 at The Gardens of Paulding.
Ruth was born July 4, 1943 to the late Alonzo and Ruth (Adams) Golliver. She was a bus driver for Wayne Trace Schools for 15 years as well as for Tinora, Ayresville, and Paulding School Districts. Ruth was a transportation coordinator for both the Paulding County Senior Center and Northwestern Ohio Community Action Commission – Defiance. She also served as the secretary of the Ohio Polka Boosters for two terms.
Ruth is survived by her husband, Thomas Andrew; children: Dennis (Kelly) Combs, Paulding, OH; Dan (Linda) Combs, Swanton, OH; Derick Whitman, Van Wert, OH; Angela (Mark) Tonjes, Malinta, OH; Tina (Scott) Lawrence, Kernersville, NC; sister, Diana Meade, Napoleon, OH; 12 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.
Also preceding Ruth in death is her husband, Jerry Whitman; daughter, Debra Haney; sons: Steven Andrew and David Combs; and siblings: Gary Golliver, Nancy Minnich, Larry Golliver, and Vicki Golliver.
Private services will be held at the convenience of the family.
