ANTWERP, OH
Mark Lucas, 65, of Antwerp, passed away Friday, December 10, 2021 at Defiance Inpatient Hospice Center.
Mark was born in Ft. Wayne, Indiana on October 4, 1956, a son of the late Marlene (Coles) & Richard Lucas.
Mark’s early years were spent alongside his four siblings, singing and playing guitar in the family band. He was involved in Boy Scouts, and attained the rank of Eagle Scout in 1972. Upon graduation from Antwerp High School in 1974, Mark went to work for local businesses until he started his own in 1982. Lucas Plumbing & Heating served the needs of the area for several years. Mark’s love for music carried on into adulthood, where he played bass guitar in many local bands, most notably Stanley and the Tools. Mark always had an interesting hobby in one form or another. He spent several years carving chainsaw art, but his biggest passion was restoring and riding his Cushman Truckster. He could often be seen riding around the area, amassing tens of thousands of miles over the years. In his later years, Mark enjoyed spending time with his grandsons, Lincoln and Noah. He loved watching them play sports, and never missed a ball game.
Mark will be sadly missed by his son, Nate (Amber) Lucas; siblings, Dave Lucas, Scott (Kyra) Lucas, Julie Hall, & Jeff (Lorie) Lucas; & grandchildren, Lincoln & Noah Lucas.
