Jagger Landers became the all-time leading scorer in Antwerp boys basketball history in leading the Antwerp Archers to an 82-30 win over visiting North Central Tuesday night in non-league action.
The Archers took control from the start, posting a 27-11 advantage at the end of one quarter before posting a commanding 46-16 halftime lead at the midway point of the contest. Antwerp widened the lead further in the third quarter, extending the margin to 65-21 entering the final stanza of the game.
Landers broke the record formerly held by Dave McCalla, who set the mark with 1,148 points in 1974. The Archer senior standout totaled 25 points to lead the way for the blue and white as Antwerp improved to 15-1 on the season. Landers now totes 1168 points and counting!!
Luke Krouse chipped in 11 markers for the Archers with Gaige McMichael recording ten points.
Landon Brewer (nine), Kaden Phares (eight), Kaden Recker (eight), Carson Altimus (six), Parker Moore (three) and Reid Lichty (two) also scored for Antwerp in the contest.
Zach Hayes led the way for the Eagles with a dozen markers while Joey Burt chipped in six points and Quin Burt posted four markers. Ben Pettit (three), Landon Justice (three) and Cohen Meyers (two) completed the scoring for North Central.
