March has been an eventful month for our residents. We have celebrated eight resident birthdays, so we have enjoyed a lot of birthday cake! Thank you to our friends at Mount Calvary Lutheran Church for their faithfulness in continuing to send birthday cards to us.
The residents and staff turned Saint Patrick’s Day into another good reason to party. Mr. Gene Zenz entertained us with his musical talents. We enjoyed an adorable leprechaun cookie made by Meeks Pastry shop in Defiance, Andes mints, and some green grapes…keeping with the green theme. Our raffle for the party was a decorative box filled with fun green items. Annette Beck was the winner of the raffle.
The residents want to say thank you to Mrs. Mary Smith and the AHS students for allowing us to attend the musical, “The Sound of Music”. We certainly appreciated the opportunity to be able to watch the wonderful performance. We have also enjoyed following the Antwerp Archer Boys Basketball team. Listening to our awesome team on the radio has been a lot of fun. We are so proud of their success this season.
