Lisa McClure of Grover Hill has announced her candidacy to run for Paulding County Commissioner.
“I was raised in Paulding County and feel a great sense of pride of now being a community leader seeking to contribute to the growth and success of Paulding County.”
Lisa grew up in a farming family. She is the oldest of 3 children and graduated from Wayne Trace High School.
Lisa is currently the Executive Director of the Paulding County Area Foundation where she has served as Executive Director since 2015. As Executive Director she serves the mission of the Foundation as being dedicated to receiving, growing, and distributing gifts for the benefit of the people of Paulding County.
McClure has a strong record of public and community service. She served on the Wayne Trace Board of Education for 16 years. She has also served on the Ohio Farm Bureau Foundation Board, Ohio 4-H Foundation Board, and the Habitat for Humanity Board. She is currently a member of Kiwanis of Paulding County, the Paulding Vision Board, Friends of the Grover Hill Library, the Paulding Chamber of Commerce, and the John Paulding Historical Society Endowment Board. Most recently Lisa was elected as Board Chair of the Northwest State Community College Board of Trustees.
As a Paulding County Commissioner, McClure will bring innovation, fiscal responsibility, and a devotion to improving the quality of life of Paulding County residents. She will strive to work for a higher purpose to create a county wide culture that is progressive and impactful.
Lisa and her husband, Terry have been married for 41 years and have three adult children, Ryan (Nikki) McClure of Grover Hill, Alison (Joe) Stoller of Latty, and Madison Admundsen (Ryan) of Hilliard, and are blessed with 7 grandchildren.
Lisa and Terry are members of Middle Creek United Methodist Church, Grover Hill, where Lisa is the treasurer for the church.
