Van Wert Middle School is excited to be participating in the #WhyYouMatter project. Led by District Media Specialist, Mrs. Nellie Schmidt, and Library Assistant, Mrs. LeAnn German, the goal is to lift up and celebrate each student and staff member for his or her unique qualities.
“It’s been a hard year and it’s important to remember we all have meaning and purpose,” Mrs. Schmidt stated. “I see the middle school as a family, and I want to build on that sense of community to help foster our students’ self-esteem.” Student and staff portraits are displayed throughout the hallways at Van Wert Middle School.
This project was made possible by the generous donations made by Van Wert Middle School staff members, along with a grant provided by Paulding Putnam Electric’s Operation Round Up.
