If you have received a phone call claiming to be from West Bend News, be sure to know who you are talking to, and they are local.
There is a new scam going on claiming to be from this business but it is not legitimate. With a strong foreign accent they are asking for information that we would probably already have, and much more.
The premise is to get you in confidence by giving you a little bit of information they have gathered online or in the newspaper. We do not know the end goal, but the police department is looking into this.
If you are questioning if the person is really from West Bend News/Printing, hang up and call us at our office number at 419-258-2000. If caller ID shows from any other number, it is NOT The West Bend News.
